He who sells us parsley

Impression of a market in Tarlabaşı

We are walking on a market in Tarlabaşı and see so many extraordinarily photogenic faces. We were too shy to ask them if we could take their pictures, and they kept coming, an awe-inspiring sequence of weathered Anatolian effendim. At a parsley stand someone called us, and our Turkish companion explained this man wanted his photo taken – twice. I quickly switched to an appropriate portrait setting and lend him the hat I was wearing. If only we could find him again and present the photograph in print.
